2nd Method of Tomato Chutney
onion - ½, Tomatoes - 3 red chillies - 4 urad dal - 3 tsp chana dal - 3 tsp coconut - ½ cup coriander powder - ½ tsp mustard seeds - ½ tsp ginger - a small piece, sambar powder - 5 tsp turmeric powder - 1tsp salt to taste
To fry :
Heat some oil in a pan then add the mustard seeds with the urad dal & chana dal.
Now add the cut onions to it, add the ginger ( cut into small pieces) & curry leaves.
After the onions turn into golden brown add the tomatoes
Fry them well, when the tomatoes are cooked add the coriander powder, sambar powder and turmeric powder and salt to taste
To garnish : Heat some oil in a pan and add some mustard seeds, then add the ½ tsp of urad dal and chana dal each and curry leaves.
Then add it to the chutney. |
