Spinach poriyal
Ingredients : Spinach 200 gms Onion 1 Urud dal 1 tsp Chana dal 1 tsp Jeera ½ tsp Mustard seeds ½ tsp Coconut oil 3 tsp Shredded coconut 2 tsp Curry leaves Coriander leaves Green chillies 4 Chilli powder 2 tsp Salt to taste
Preparation Heat the coconut oil in a kadai, add the mustard seeds ,urud dal , chana dal, jeera. Then add the cut onions Fry them till they turn golden brown add the green chillies Now add the cut spinach , just sprinkle some water , then close the vessel with a lid let the spinach cook for about 3 5 minutes Now if needed sprinkle more water, orelse add the salt ,chilli powder , curry and coriander leaves. Remove the vessel from the stove and add the shredded coconut to it
Tip : For Forzen spinach Take the frozen spinach and defrost it for abt 4 minutes Dont sprinkle too much water for the spinach
