Mutton Gravy   

 

Ingredients:

1) Mutton - 200 gms

2) Ginger & garlic paste -2 tsp

3) Cloves,  cinnamon, cardamom  - 4 each

4) Turmeric powder - 1 tsp

5) Red chillies -8

6) Coconut - 5 tsp

7) Sombu - 1 tsp

8) onion - 2

9) tomatoes - 2

10 ) coriander powder - 1tsp

11) Coriander leaves

12) Mint leaves

13) Garam masala - 1 tsp

 

To grind :

Add 1/4 of one onion with the coconut, the spices, red chillies. Grind them well, Don't 

add too much water to it.

 

To fry : 

Heat some oil in a pan add the mustard seeds, the curry leaves, the cut onions.

Fry them well when the onions are golden brown add the tomatoes

 

Add the mutton pieces along with turmeric powder,  let the mutton cook well for 35 minutes.

Add the ground paste and mint leaves.

Add the coriander powder, salt and garam masala .

 

When the mixture comes to a boil,  bring the flame down and let the masala simmer for about 20 minutes, wait until all the water is gone.

Add the coriander leaves. And serve it hot with rice.

Tip: 

You can know that your gravy is done, when the oil  separates from the gravy.
