| Masala vadai (or vada)
Ingredients 1) chana dal - 350 gms 2) green chillies - 3 3) butter - 50 gms 4) ginger paste - 2 tsp 5) salt to taste 6) turmeric powder - 1 tsp 7) red chillies - 2 8) coriander leaves 9) onions - 2
For the batter : Soak the chana dal for about 3 hours, grind them with little water . Add the green chillies, red chillies, ginger, turmeric powder Then add onions, coriander leaves and the butter .
To fry them : Take the batter and make them into a small rounds And flatten them Now deep fry them in the oil. Serve it hot with coconut chutney
Tip : Add some oil to the batter before deep frying the vadai
